My 30.68 Lbs. Salmon made it to the board!
So exited! 2 nights ago, I got my Personal Best king weighing 30.68 Lbs.! It was a pretty slow night for me and my dad a couple nights ago. We didn't get fishing till about 7, but once we dropped our lines we got a couple rips on the dipseys. Then after a little action, it started to slow down and it was getting dark out. Finally, I looked over, saw the rigger pop, ran to the back of the boat and cranked down on it, lifted the rod out of the rigger and fought the fish. Took me for a long run, and eventually got it right close to the boat and took me for another good run! After about 15 minutes, I was just bringing it to the boat after the second run and it was staying down deep. Thank god it wasn't a hand balmer.... after a couple of minutes of the fish hanging deep boat side, it finally came up, I saw it and new it was a good fish! "NET IT DAD"! He went for it and missed it the first time... and went for a little run. Was scared it was going to come off. brought it back to the back of the boat and my dad net it. "WOOO!". I new it wasn't massive but I new it was a goo fish and maybe a good enough fish to weigh in for the derby. We weighed it, and the scale was bouncing between 30 and 31, so we put it in the cooler and fished for a bit longer. it was about 8:00, and was too late to weigh in that night, so we put it in the cooler over night with some ice and weighed it first thing in the morning. I was pretty exited cause it was my biggest fish to date, and my first fish to weigh in for the Derby! I set it on the scale, and it went to 30.68~! For the first day of the derby I was in 2nd place, but got bumped down to 5th place today.. Slowly getting bumped down, but hope to hang on before Friday night :)
Can't wait to get out in the morning in search for a derby winner king!

Junior Bass Tournament
What an awesome day. Set the alarm for 4:00, and my ride was here for 4:30. Went down to Canal Lake and blast-off was at 7:00. Was super pumped to get out on the water for some largies! We started off the day fishing the river that went out to the lake with little success, so we headed out to the main lake flippin' docks, and dunking deep weeds. Got a little 2 pounder casting a spinner bait between docks, and ended up with 2 fish about 2 pounds each before 12:30. We weren't getting nothing big, so we drove to the other side of the lake where we thought there wasn't too much traffic going on between other boaters. I started off skipping docks with a senko, and not much luck.. Switched over to a tube with a small bullet weight and started wacking them! Got a nice 3 and change, and then a few docks after I skipped the tube way back under the dock, felt the fish hit, set the hook and it brought me into the metal leg of the dock. I was able to unwrap the fish and horse it in to the net. Ended up being a 3.88 and I was super pumped!!!! Later on I landed another good fish flipping docks, and weighed in at 9.72 lbs for a three fish limit. Ended up 1st place, and had an awesome day on the water, and learned a few more things! There was only a few juniors, but still tons of fun! Can't wait to get back out.

Big KING!
What an awesome Night bite tonight! Lately the night bite has been very slow, but not tonight! Right when we setup, dropped a couple lines, we started hooking into fish! Couple hits on the riggers, and on the dipseys, and had about 5 fish before 6:00. At about 6 the dipsey went for another rip, ran to the dipsey, picked it up and started fighting it. Right when I picked up the rod I new it was a good fish from his headshakes and the amount of line he was screaming out. Brought me out to about 600 feet now, reeled in 100 of it, and took me for another big run back out to about 600!!! After a long fight, I finally brought it up to the boat, and relized it was a hand bomber which means the lead from the dipsey to the flasher is really long which means that we have to use our hands to bring it to the boat and net it. Scotty grabbed the line and hand bombed it in, grabbed the net and netted it. Once it got in the boat, I picked it up and was super exited! My personal best king!!! :)

1st Place Finish
Such a fun day! just got in from a long day on the water, and had an absolute blast. Today was the Port Perry Junior Bass Master Tournament. Blast off was at 7 and weigh in was at 3. Spent most of the day drop shotting XZONE Slammers, XZONE shiver shads for Smallmouth on rock points and drop-offs, but was able to dunk and through top water frogs for largies aswell! Ended up with a couple decent fish and finished 1st place. What an awesome day! Can't wait for the second Junior tournament on July 27th!

Lovin' the Carp Fishin'
As much as I miss the Steelheading, I'm loving the Carp fishing ! Went out after school today and got this tank! I got him on a Boilie sitting right on the bottom. He was playing with my bait for a few minutes before he finally commited to run with it. My line shot out, I set the hook and FISH ON!
